The stabilizer (Cross bar) is an add-on feature
When assembled on the POWERUP module it provides additional stability to the paper wings, keeping them in place and preventing them from bending up. This helps the airplane to withstand a higher G-Force.
Use the stabilizer for improved performance and maneuverability.
For a more slow and steady flight, remove the stabilizer and bend the paper wings slightly up, creating a dihedral angle, (suitable for beginners).
1. Place the stabilizer under the main frame and rotate it 90° until it clicks into place.
2. Push the stabilizer to the marked location.
3. Ready to fly!
Pro tip
The stabilizer can be assembled above the main frame, this will allow the paper wings to bend slightly up, creating a dihedral angle and increasing stability. When assembled under the main frame it reduces the risk for the stabilizer detaching in a crash.
Lost stabilizer (Cross bar)
Additional stabilizers are available for order in the spare parts kit on the POWERUP store.
Improvised stabilizer
Use a bamboo skewer or any strong and lightweight rod, cut it to size, sand the ends for safety and attach it to the wings with scotch tape.
