The common mistake is charging when the switch is off. Switch should be in the ON position (on the right side when you look from the rear) also check your cord and power source, you can do this by trying to charge another device.
Checkout our videos and FAQ, if this is still not solving your issue, please open a support ticket and the PowerUp team will help you.

I have the same issue - any solution? It's as though the unit is not holding charge. I've only had it a couple of months and only used a handful of time.

The first version of our PowerUp 3.0 would show charging when switch was off (on the left side when you look from the rear) in reality the unit would not charge, if would change 100% when switch is in the ON position as explained in the user guide and tutorial videos. If you are 100% sure switch was on the right side and the charge would not hold then this indicates that unit is damaged or battery is defective.

All new products sold after November 2014 have this issue of charging confusion corrected. The way you can identify that you have the new version is by the location of the ON/OFF switch on the module. The location is now on the top of the module, switch also has a small label indicating the switch mode OFF/ON-CHARGE

Yes, I have the new version with the label installed.
I leave it on the on-charge position with the cable plugged in and the light comes on and flashes quickly to indicate it is charging. However, the light never stops flashing fast to indicate it has finished charging.

After 30mins I remove the cable and the light goes out and does not come back on.

I really think the unit is faulty as I have two powerup 3.0's and the other unit is fine. Is there a way to have the faulty unit replaced?

Same here except mine is the old version in march 2014. The battery light only flashes fast when charging and wont flash when unplugged. The switch is in the on position when charging and still wont slow down. I really liked this product when it worked and i didn't do any physical damage to it. Does it come with some sort of warranty because if it cant be fixed then i want to get a working one. Thanks Please Reply

    Hey Christopher.
Modules that were not charged prior to long term storage (a few months) may result is Lipo Battery becoming drained and undercharged and eventually faulty, this is a common phenomenea with Lipo batteries. In this case the only way to salvage the unit is to re-solder a fresh new battery (75 mAh). If you are interested to take the challenge, we do have Hackers kit with batteries motors and replacement parts - http://www.poweruptoys.com/products/hacker-package-new
Our warantee guarantees 3 moths from proof of purchase.

Same here with the first version. It looks like the hacker package link is not available anymore. shai goitein, do you have any recommendation for the replacement battery?

    Hi Daichi
We are working on improving the existing product so customers can easily replace a battery that has gone bad over time. For the existing PowerUp 3.0 module, what we have to offer is the Hacker package which actually includes more than you need. Tthis package will be available only around November 2016. Replacing the battery requires soldering.
Regarding link, once the product is available the link will be available again.
    Thanks
    Shai
