Although All kits allow you to fly paper airplanes for long periods of time there are some major differences between the kits.
PowerUp 3.0/Dart allows you to remotely control a paper airplane via your smartphone's Bluetooth capability. Using our application you can control the motor's power for descending or ascending during flight; and the rudder for changing direction.
This gives the pilot full control of the airplane during flight and could allow for flight time of up to 10 minutes on a charge. To experience some of the longest paper airplane flights you will ever have, simply focus on managing these three areas: work to keep the airplane inside the Bluetooth range (around 60 meters / 200 feet), keep the battery fully charged between flights, and monitor that your airplane's control surfaces are correctly trimmed.
PowerUp 3.0/Dart is for 14+ years of age.
PowerUp 2.0 (Free Flight) has no remote control capabilities, as it is a free flight kit. The essence of free-flight is that the aircraft will have no need for external controls utilizing radio waves. The propeller module can be quick charged using the included battery pack (within 20 seconds!). Once charged the unit should be launched into the air.
With Free Flight, your main challenge will be in your pre-flight prep and trim. By adjusting the control surfaces correctly, you can determine how your airplane will fly once you launch it, for example, fly leveled and straight or in circles.
PowerUp Free Flight (2.0) is for 8+ years of age.
