A new battery should give you about ten minutes of flight.
If your fights are much shorter than that, these are some possible reasons:
- Old battery - with time and use, the full capacity of a battery is reduced. If this is the case maybe it's time to buy a new one
- Dirty contacts - if your battery's contacts are dirty, this cause a micro shortcuts, that drain the battery power. Make sure your contacts are clean!
- Strong winds can cause the plane to use extra power to stabilize the plane. The onboard Autopilot tries to keep the plane leveled even if you do not command any change, and when the wind is strong, the air has many turbulences, increasing the activity of the motors.
- Uneven, badly folded or a distorted plane reduces the efficiency of the wings, and requires more power to maintain the same flight performance. Make sure your plane suffer no such disadvantages
