Charge your battery
Insert the micro-USB plug into the socket on the rear of your module.
Plug the other end into any USB power source.
Insert the battery into the appropriate compartment on the rear side.
Important note: When the battery is empty, it does not have enough power to initialize the charging circuit. Do not insert the battery before connecting the POWERUP FPV to a power source.
The indicator light on the back of your module will turn red.
A full charge takes up to 120 minutes, or 60-90 minutes using the multi battery charger.
The battery is fully charged once the charging indicator light turns green.
After 120 minutes unplug the USB cable, even If the indicator LED does not turn green.
(The charging indicator LED sometimes does not turn green, this a known bug that does not affect the charging).
If you use a PC as a power supply, the front LEDs will flash, and stay green for a minute. If you use a power supply, they will stay on constantly.
Inserting a fully charged battery into its compartment will turn on the module automatically. Beta versions do not have a dedicated On/Off button.
From Module to Airplane
Fold the the Invader airplane using the included special A3 printed paper. Follow the folding instructions below and also check the video instructions here - Invader folding instructions video
Insert the front of the airplane’s keel (the nose of the airplane) into the clips of the POWERUP FPV Module, making sure that the keel goes all the way into the clips. The clips should be on the underside of the airplane, and the fiber carbon rods should rest above the wings.
Slide the rear clip towards the fold to secure the rear side of the airplane.
Add the Cross bar, by pinching gently the rods towards each other.
Push the Cross bar forward until it touches the rear of the battery compartment.
The Cross bar will keep the wings from bending up, which can decrease the efficiency and stability of the airplane.
Note: Make sure the Cross bar is below the rods!
Note: the Cross Bar is a later addition, and is sent separately to the Beta backers!
If you plan to record your flight, insert an SD card (not supplied).
Note: SD card must have a X10 or greater writing speed. Do not insert an SD card when the battery is inside; this will cause the airplane to reboot!
