Q: Can I Use Regular Paper?

It's great to experiment with different types of paper. The performance with each type of paper will be significantly different due to their various properties: weight, thickness, density, flexibility, etc. Regular printer paper with 80GSM (Grams per Square Meter) is usually too thin, the airplane's wings will bend, not providing enough lift. High quality printing paper has the right GSM (around 100) but tends to absorb humidity too quickly.

The special Paper supplied with POWERUP FPV was carefully designed and has unique qualities. It's easy to fold, has high tensile strength, it's durable, and has an optimal weight to thickness ratio. It is not waterproof but has some resistance to humidity. In case you run out of paper, you can always order more on our website.
