If you are an international backer (not living in the USA) you may encounter a customs hold while your parcel is in the process of import into your country. Every country has local import laws that may incur additional fees, for example, VAT/TVA, duty, import handling etc... If you receive a notice from your customs or post office regarding a customs hold and demand for payment, you will need to promptly pay the fees in order to release the parcel. This is your responsibility as explained on the Kickstarter page and FAQ. The fee is dependant on the invoice declaration which is applied on the parcel. In case you are requested by the customs to provide this invoice, you can use the invoice you received from Backerkit or contact our support for help at support@poweruptoys.com
Neglecting to take care of a customs hold may cause additional storage fees. Customs hold which are no settled with the local customs should eventually return to our warehouse.
Aside from a demand for payment some customs offices require showing import documentations associated with local safety regulation, for this we have prepared the DOC document you can download and share.
