PRIMARY ANALYSIS: A heavy nose causes the plane to dive.
- The elevators are not compensating for your plane’s tendency to pitch down. Raise the elevators slightly to change the pitch of the plane so it flies level.
- The plane does not have enough airspeed at launch to generate lift. Verify that you are launching heading into the wind at 60-80% thrust. Consider increasing thrust even further if problem persists.
- Your module is not properly attached to the plane. Slide the module all the way onto the nose of the plane and verify that the module sits flat on the wing.
- The center of gravity (CG) is located too far forward on the plane. Move the CG by sliding the module all the way onto the nose of your plane if it isn’t already in this position. Otherwise, adjust the design of your plane to move the CG to the rear.
- The center of lift (CL) is located too far towards the rear of the plane. Reduce the size of the plane’s wings by folding wing tips or by changing the airplane style.
