The POWERUP 4.0 electronics includes a special overload protection circuit. This circuit is designed to protect the battery and electronics from a short circuit or motor jam.
When a momentary overload occurs, the circuitry will automatically cut the power of the motors to zero. Throttling up again will reset the system.
We have found that some healthy modules may accidentally trigger the overload protection when throttling up abruptly from zero to 100%. This may happen especially when the battery is fully charged. An overload in this situation does not indicate a faulty module.
If you encounter motor cutoff issue, verify that you are throttling up gradually. After a few flights this issues should go away.
