Kline-Fogleman "Step" Airfoil
AnsweredHawaii's humid weather is not well suited for paper airplanes so I'm experimenting with balsa models for my PowerUp 4.0. I started with a Tornado Updraft 12, which flew surprisingly well even in our gusty winds. But the balsa fuselage broke easily so I replaced it with a minimalist one made of stronger basswood. I also turned the wing into a Kline-Fogleman KFm2 "stepped" design, which was originally developed for use with paper airplanes. Testing, along with two other KFm designs, awaits better weather. I'll post videos when I complete the tests.
