Responsiveness of throttle control

quite regularly the plane goes back to 0 thrust, because the phone screen shows 0%.

I have moved up the throttle and keep it there, without loosening my thumb.

The throttle is sometimes still under my thumb, sometimes back to home position, but in both cases show 0%.

I have to apply throttle again to avoid a crash, usually this is than too late, so it will crash anyway. This behaviour seems to increase when the battery is < 20%.

Is my finger too dry, or should i move my finger left and right to keep stimulating touch without increasing throttle? I have no other issues with using the touchscreen of the phone (Samsung S10e, latest app version, firmware version 1.07)

This sounds very similar to my own problem: the plane has been in the air for just a few seconds, and suddenly the motor cuts out and the thrust goes to zero, and then it sometimes lands gracefully but often crashes abruptly. I'm trying to keep the thrust between 50% and 60% so it won't get out of control. But it just chooses to shut down for no apparent reason. So I have very little sense of control over this plane.
