Great post! The powerUP 4.0 is able to carry extra weight as long as it is under 0.7 ox/20 grams. This would include a total weight of 3D wings, or a camera + battery as another option.

I recommend you to watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpxcvXozR8A

The guy compares the weight of the plane and trims the design until it has a reasonable performance.

From what I can gather around 11 grams with a normal amount of lift. But it’s early days so this is very approximate. Would love to see what you design later as well.

That’s a good video actually and where I got the weight from as well just couldn’t remember where it was.

On the same theme, is there 3D model of the unit available to create new designs around?

John I just received my Power up 4 and am completing a model that I will share in step format in a few days. It won't be exact but very close, it will be in several parts.

Ok here it is. There are 4 models, Powerup 4 is the complete assembly, the other 3 are the component parts in case your software doesn't let you move the parts separately, Powerup 4 only, Crossbar, and Clip. https://grabcad.com/library/power-up-4-1

For those who may not want to register with GrabCad here is a google drive link:

You may have noticed there is a notch in the main spar on the PU4, this is the estimated CoG with the clip installed.
