PowerUp 4.0 and Foam Long EZ planes
AnsweredHere are a few of the best flights from 6/28 and 6/29 early morning sessions. https://youtu.be/BTTGlE2VNX8
There are a couple a nice long flights, the planes are built by me, adapted for PowerUp 4.0 by Douglas Anderson, the Long EZ was designed by Burt Rutan to be fast, stall resistant and easy to fly. The canard style type plane works very well with a pusher power unit, all of these characteristics make this style a perfect partner with the PowerUp 4.0.

The canard style planes recover very easily and level out quick, as you can see when I perform a “Circle Dive”. I am always impressed with the responsiveness of the Long EZ and how controlling altitude is as simple as Power increases and decreases or simple “S” turns. If you want plans, Doug Anderson offers free plans on his site, also Flite Test has plans for their version of a Long EZ.
