Tuning parameters not very well explained

I'm a simple user who wants to tune the flight performance.  Although there are multiple parameters to 'optimize', I can't find and explanation or Q&A about the tuning parameters in the app.

For instance, 'the cornering is rather slow, I can't make a sharp corner in the air'. Solution: decrease the steering angle parameter. (I have the Onslaught now set at 70 instead of 130. When I tilt the phone too much, the plane will spiral down. Nice to loose height quickly, but tricky for starters to do this at low altitude. Additional throttle will only worsen the spiral down for them).

For the other parameters, I don't see a change in flight performance when I change them.

  The tuning parameters are explained as 'desired pitch/roll/yaw angle'. What does that mean for powerup 4, since only throttle and steering angle can be manipulated with the phone.
