Testing The Airplane: Motor Off

To make sure that your airplane flies well, first test it without using the motor.

1. Set your elevators a little up, rudder is in the center. 
2. Face the wind.
3. Without turning on the motor, launch the airplane into the wind.
4. Observe the flight.
5. Identify the behavior of the airplane, and adjust the control surfaces accordingly (see the section Applying the Corrective Cycle ).
6. When the airplane glides steadily, you are ready to fly with the motor running.
